Planting

We received a nice stone from my KSU girls the other weekend to honor Grampy. (love those KSU girls!) Last weekend we went to  get some plants to put around it.  We originally got a tree but I already killed it.  You'll notice in the pictures that the only part of the flower beds that look nice are the part that I just dug up.  After removing tons of weeds and that stupid plastic crap from the ground (does anyone else hate that plastic crap that does NOT keep weeds out?), we were able to put down some new soil and create our tribute to Grampy.

Arriving on the job. Just park by the bush buddy!

Yay all done
*** I know Grammy, you want a picture of both kids next to it.  I can see the email already. Give me about 6 months :)

Dedication to Grampy

This weekend we went down to Newark for a dedication ceremony.  The Works in town dedicated their last project to dad.  He worked on all their projects and this was his last.  The kids were really good and it was reeeeally cold!
This is how sissy spent most of the day

Bigger Than A Bread Box???

Not Quite.  Lyssie is 2 months old now and we went for her check up.  She hasn't hit the double digit mark for weight yet. She is doing great though and there are no concerns...she's just tiny. At this time, Nicky was just half a pound larger and the same height.

Weight: 9lbs 14oz
Height: 24 1/2 inches
"Don't make fun of me for being little!"
Just Kidding
Even though she's tiny, she puts up with a lot!  She has wanted to be upright since she was born and we just started putting her in her chair. Of course bubby had to get in on the action.
"I LOVE my chair!"

"Let me get in here!"

Cheese!

"Hey bubby, this is my chair now! Mommy put purple on it for ME!"

"Wha ah ah"

"Let me get in there!"

"Sissy, Get Out!"

"Ahh geeze!"

Happy end to the weekend!

Nice little Sunday

I just love how Nicky had to coach sissy through tummy time.  "You can do it! Now lift your head like this."

And truly why they are brother and sister.  Blurry, but look at those identical expressions

We bit the $40 bullet and bought a sandbox for the deck.  We know that my carpets will always be covered in sand Nicky will love it. I put it together during nap and Nicky got to check it out as soon as he woke up.
"What's out there?"

Jumping in

Awesome!

"Please, no more photos"

Off to check out something in the yard

A little water "moat" that was instantly filled with sand

Sandy hands

I giggle every time I see this one
Nicky also got a cool toy from someone at school.  It was a big brother present and we are just now taking it out of the package.  The toy is for the bath and it flashes lights and makes a sprinkler. Cool stuff in the tub is right up Nick's alley
Filling the tub.  Look at all the crap to play with in there

Right in the face!
And the best part of the weekend....the laundry is done!
